Just got back from playing a few gigs around Italy with Micromattic®. Thanks to everyone who looked after us – it was a lot of fun!
VJing with Quartz Composer and VDMX
Last month I turned in my dissertation, which involved a great deal of research into how Mac OS X handles graphics, specifically filters – and into Quartz Composer, a developer tool which is part of Xcode. The paper also looked at VDMX 5, which was (and remains) in Beta.
I used Quartz Composer to create video filters, and also nicked bits from Toneburst (many thanks to him!) to make funky audio-reactive spherical objects.
I’m going to be putting up extracts from my existing work over the next little while… Then I’ll have to get to making some new stuff!

VJ Project is finishing, and it seems like I’m discovering more and more cool stuff every day.
