VJing with Quartz Composer and VDMX

Last month I turned in my dissertation, which involved a great deal of research into how Mac OS X handles graphics, specifically filters – and into Quartz Composer, a developer tool which is part of Xcode. The paper also looked at VDMX 5, which was (and remains) in Beta.

I used Quartz Composer to create video filters, and also nicked bits from Toneburst (many thanks to him!) to make funky audio-reactive spherical objects.

I’m going to be putting up extracts from my existing work over the next little while… Then I’ll have to get to making some new stuff!
