Almost like music genres can pigeonhole artists so that if you’re not a fan of say Damien Rice, you’re also not likely to be a fan of Iron & Wine (This is clearly objective still).

Whether or not you like this form of consumer led direction – it usually helps initially to define creative projects so you know that a if a film adaption of your favourite comic book hero was produced by Sony Classics rather than Warner Bros. – you’re probably not gonna expect to see the shit loads of explosions and over the top CGI you may/may not have hoped for.
