Starting with Whitey, Tom Vek and LCD Soundsystem I couldn’t help myself but chuck in some Q-Tip with Barely in Love from his long awaited Kamaal/The Abstract album; which was finally released last Autumn after being shelved in 2002.

Next there’s Admiral Radley (hipster tip: you can call them Ad-Rad), who are comprised of members from the late/great Grandaddy and (the hopefully still functioning) Earlimart.

Rounding up, we have an oldie from Caribou (“old” being 2005, got to stay current…) and something fresh from Shigeto – Micromattic tipped me off to them, thanks a lot !

Many of these need no introduction at all… Starting off with Cold War Kids, meshing in with some tasty Alt-Hip-Hop beats from Odd Nosdam (Anticon Records)… Interupted briefly by The Beach Boys (presumably on their way to the beach) and returning with work from Daedelus’ first major release.

In the middle third, I bring you Isolée, “electro-jazz” pioneer Rubin Steiner, the latest release from Bonobo and something contemplative by The Doors.

Finally, prepare to have you ears knocked out by Deerhunter followed swiftly by some new(ish) stuff from Jack White and friends (The Dead Weather) with Treat Me Like Your Mother.

  4. Completed 2D Motion Graphics for the Oxford Brookes University Film Studies department’s series of video podcasts: “An Evening with Nick Goldsmith“
  5. Re-designed the splash page for the upcoming NERD site and starting work on the full site.
  6. Still plugging away at the “Lenon Lives” documentary… slowly but surely…

Regular readers (all 3 of you…) may remember the last time I went to bug – I was inspired by Garth Jennings to make three videos (more on that next… year…). This bug was no less inspiring, but also a little frustrating – to the point where I’m about to raid my savings and buy myself a new camera (to replace my burgled one…).

In a moment of Celebrity wowdem, I found myself sitting almost directly behind Edgar Wright. So I sent him a little tweet with this picture attached:
